At Face of Gbagyi Niger ("we," "our," or "us"), we respect your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you register for our Cultural Ambassador Search.
When you register, we collect: first and last name, email address, phone number, date of birth, state of origin, occupation, Instagram handle, biography, and optionally an introduction video link and photo.
We use a session cookie essential for logged-in users (contestants, coordinators, and admins). We also use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (dark/light mode) and whether you've dismissed the app install prompt or cookie notice. No tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party cookies are used.
Your data is stored securely on our servers. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
We retain your data for the duration of the competition plus 12 months. After that, your data will be anonymized or deleted upon request.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except as required by law or with your explicit consent (e.g., sharing contact details with sponsors for ambassadorial opportunities).
