The Journey

How the Contest Unfolds

Three stages take contestants from registration to the grand finale.

Stage 1

Registration & Screening

Registration is free and open to young women aged 18–30 of Gbagyi heritage or with a genuine passion for Gbagyi culture. Every profile is reviewed and approved before it appears on the site.

Stage 2

Public Voting Phase

Votes are bought on the leaderboard at ₦100 per vote and shown live. Public support carries 10% of the final score and is the automatic tie-breaker between contestants the panel cannot separate.

Stage 3

The Grand Finale

Shortlisted finalists are scored live by the judging panel on the full 90-point rubric. The winner and two runners-up are crowned at the December 2026 finale.

Inside the Panel Room

What the Judges Look For

Cultural Knowledge & Heritage

Judges reward contestants who know Gbagyi history, greet confidently in the language, wear the culture proudly, and can speak to what it means to be a Gbagyi ambassador. Speaking Gbagyi is a strong advantage.

Public Speaking & Communication

Clarity, composure, and the ability to inspire a hall. Judges watch how you answer unexpected questions and how your message lands with the audience.

Community Impact & Leadership

What have you already done for your community? Leadership potential, volunteering, mentoring, and a credible platform all count here.

Stage Presence & Presentation

Poise, grooming, posture, and charisma. Contestants are assessed the moment they step on stage — how they walk, hold the room, and carry the crown.

Talent & Performance

A cultural talent delivered with creativity and confidence — dance, song, drama, or craft. Judges reward originality and execution over spectacle.

Public Vote

Every vote on the leaderboard counts. Public support makes up 10% of the final score and breaks any tie — your fans can directly change the result.

Integrity

Fair & Transparent

We take the integrity of the contest seriously.

Independent Panel

The panel is made up of independent judges with no personal stake in any contestant's result.

Structured Rubric

Every judge scores against the same published criteria — no secret categories, no ad-hoc scoring.

Live & Audited

Votes are recorded, displayed live on the leaderboard, and audited against payment confirmations.

Anti-Fraud Rules

Automated fraud detection and refunds are applied to rejected or reversed payments. Manipulated votes are excluded before scores are tallied.
